Faculty of Engineering

Faculty of Engineering The Faculty of Engineering of Urmia University was established in 1983, preliminary as a technical college. The faculty is considered one of the most prestigious, government-sponsored institutions of higher education in the region. Acceptance to the faculty is highly competitive and entrance to all undergraduate and graduate programs requires scoring among the top 25% of students in the nationwide university entrance exam. The Faculty of Engineering encompasses seven educational departments including: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industry Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Polymer Engineering Departments.

From the past until now, Dr. Komarizadeh, Dr. Ghadimzadeh, Dr. Pourmirza, Dr. Farhoudi, Dr. Tajbakhsh, Dr. Samadi, Dr. Khosrowshahi, Dr. Fahoomand, Dr. Rezazadbari, Dr. Samadi, and Dr. Esmaiili have been the deans of the Faculty of Agriculture at Urmia University. Currently, Dr. Ebrahim Sepehr is the dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.
