New Chancellor Appointed for Urmia University

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Rezazadeh Bari was appointed as the Chancellor of Urmia University by Prof. Dr. Hossein Simaee Sarraf, Iran’s Minister of Science, Research, and Technology. In the official appointment decree, the Minister urged Prof. Rezazad to “fulfill his duties with distinction by adhering to Islamic principles, scientific foundations, the national unity government’s strategies, and through collaboration with academics and experts.” He added, “We pray for your continued success and prosperity through the grace of Almighty God.”

On behalf of Urmia University, we strongly condemn pre-emptive military actions by the Zionist regime and the US against the Islamic Republic of Iran, as these acts are in direct violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Such aggression undermines regional and global stability and violates the principles of sovereignty and non-intervention. Iran has consistently pursued diplomatic avenues to resolve the nuclear issue, including its full cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and within the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
